I bought some Niger seed for goldfinches earlier this year. None ever came to feed. I have nearly a full bag left. Could you make use of it there? I’d be happy to send it to you.
That’s a nice idea, but my very first thought is whether there is a nature center or nursing home near you that might be happy to have it. Most seem to have active bird feeders but not a lot of extra money in their budgets. 🙂
Thanks, I’ll check that. I also read that this bird seed has oil in it and if it dries out, the birds won’t eat it. The seed is about a year old so it may need to just be tossed out.
